Cele trying to cover up astonishing plot ?

Cele trying to cover up astonishing plot ?

All the dots started to connect when I read in the media that current Police minister Bheki Cele was launching an investigation into IPID boss Robert McBride through Parliament

Cele asks parliament to investigate McBride

In an interview with the SABC in May, Robert McBride, the head of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID), said ten SAPS generals are being investigated for alleged corruption involving billions of rands.

One of these generals is the former acting head of SAPS , Khomotso Phahlane, accused of receiving bribes to secure tenders worth billions of rands with a company called Forensic Data Analyst [ FDA ] .

The company belong to Keith Keating ,a former warrant officer in SAPS , who recently brought some functions of SAPS to a standstill when he embarked on a strike over money he says the SAPS owes him for services rendered.

His company provides software services to SAPS .

FDA has, according to IPID, received at least R5bn in tenders from SAPS since 2010.

The state has recently withdrawn its corruption case against former acting national police commissioner Khomotso Phahlane and his wife Beauty, a brigadier in SAPS, after failing to persuade the magistrate to grant a three-month postponement for further investigation.

The magistrate said the State can reopen the case once they are ready .

When IPID was busy investigating Phahlane, they were counter investigated by a pro Zuma general who is with the Hawks in North West.

His name is Jan Mabula and is as pro Zuma as can come .

He has always been called upon to do Zuma's bidding in his efforts to dodge the long arm of the law .

Mabula is part of the so called Praetorian Guard in the criminal justice system protecting Zuma interests .

Jan Mabula is also implicated in a murder case being investigated by IPID and the IPID has recently obtained a court interdict that prevent Police personnel already investigated by them to counter investigate IPID .

In this case counter investigate mean the attempt to trump up some kind of frivilous charge that could throw your opponent off balance and tie him up in court for a while, so the investigated person can have a breather from IPID's attempts to bring them to book .

Let us now have a look at the astonishing plot between SAPS management and then SAPS minister Fikile Mbalula, who was a staunch NDZ supporter ,to generate funds to buy votes at the ANC December elective conference .

This plot was real and it happened .

If it succeeded, it was quite possible that we would have called a certain Nokosazana Dlamini-Zuma our President .

A precedent actually exist where almost the same amount of money that was earmarked to be used as vote buying money at the ANC's December 2017 elective conference, was actually used at the ANC's Mangaung elective conference.

At the ANC's Mangaung conference, the notorious Capt Morris " KGB " Tshabalala , who evaded a prison sentence for years whilst remaining in SAPS Crime Intelligence , was allocated a R50 million budget to buy votes at the Mangaung conference and that money was used to keep Zuma783 the leader of the ANC.

The plot is set out in the following exellent piece of investigative journalism :

Surveillance footage confirms top cop Sitole's meeting with fraud suspect

In short the plot involved Police management, on instruction of Fikile Mbalula, to urgently generate almost R50 million by inflating a tender to buy a cellphone grabber from a Durban businessman Imbanathan Kistiah who owns a company called i-View .

This took place days before the ANC December elective conference .

From the article :

EWN has seen a letter signed on 15 December - days before the ANC conference - by a senior Ipid investigator, and addressed to Sitole, which states that they had been made aware of an invoice worth R45 million which was being pushed through at all costs.

The letter reads:

"It was also brought to our attention that such amount of money directed to I-View Integrated Systems was in fact to be laundered for buying of votes at the ANC Conference.

The Directorate engaged a number of SAPS senior officials, some have confirmed that such transaction was being pushed at all costs resulting in a strained relationship amongst senior members.

It is against this background that the Directorate finds the alleged transaction suspicious."

Ipid recommended that the transaction with I-View be stopped with immediate effect and that the SAPS suspend all dealings with I-View until the investigation was completed.

The letter further reveals that I-View was already in Ipid's sights.

In November, it was alleged that Crime Intelligence officials were in the process of destroying evidence related to a 2016 contract with the Durban-based service provider.

The deal under investigation at that time is said to have lost the police an estimated R54 million.

In the middle of November, Ipid, together with the Inspector-General of Intelligence, raided the Crime Intelligence head office in Erasmuskloof as well as I-View’s Durban offices where they seized laptops, computers and cellphones as evidence.

The sole director of I-View is Durban businessman Inbanathan Kistiah, who made headlines in December when the Sunday Times reported he acted as a middleman in the sale of bulletproof vests to the SAPS.

The cost of the vests was allegedly inflated, coming in at an estimated R33,000 each."

After reading above link, it is quite clear that IPID quite possibly saved us from a NDZ Presidency and for that we must be eternally greatful to IPID and Robert McBride .

McBride might not be popular amongst South Africans but let us at least acknowledge cetain good things he did recently .

In the light of Cele's referring McBride for investigation, the logical conclusion has to be drawn that the ANC got to Cele and that a plan is afoot to get rid of McBride because the investigations he is busy with is just too explosive and will cause the ANC huge embarrassment.
